Earth Day in U.S. is major waste of time

Wake up and smell the congestion, my fellow Americans.

Immigration represents nearly 80 percent of this nation's population growth that is projected to push our numbers past the 600 million mark in 2100, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.  So why even bother talking about reducing our "carbon footprints" when our country already is the world's biggest energy hog?  "Searching for a better life" soon will be a thing of the past here because our nation is well on the way to ending up looking like many of the impoverished parts of the world from which millions are coming.

And in case you missed it, the just released Senate amnesty bill would double annual legal immigration to 2 million people, many if not most of them who will end up living at or below the poverty level because they have little education and few skills to compete in a society where job creation is nowhere near being able to keep up with population growth.

So on this 43rd Earth Day, after you and perhaps your children have spent the day "greening up" your little parcel of this planet, remember what its founder Gaylord Nelson said:  You are a "phony" if you say you are for the environment but against limiting immigration.
